Please No Christmas Songs!

NaBloPoMo - Day 9

I went shopping today for some casual and workout clothes. If you're worried about me spending all my unemployment money... fret not! I went to Laura's House Resale Store, a high quality secondhand store which benefits a charity for victims of domestic violence. Most items of clothes were between $2 - $6!!

The store has such cute clothes! I got two full bags of name brand clothes, likely never worn, for under $100. I never tried anything on until I got home and they all fit perfect! I even got a shirt that was thermal material and had a big happy face on the front and said 'Happy Mom'. It was so funny and ridiculous to me, that I had to buy it. I will be wearing it ironically. I'm sure the kids will get a chuckle out of it!

The only thing that shocked me at the store was their playing of Christmas music. I had to triple think what day it was and if it was acceptable protocol! I was wearing a tank top, shorts and flip flops. The tune 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' definitely didn't apply. I immediately wanted to leave the store and get back to my car with Sirius XM Radio Venus channel, or put in ear plugs.  I am not in any mood to embrace Christmas (in the material, commercial sense). You know?

I will boycott wearing traditional Christmas clothes and green/red. I will wear tropical print clothes in protest. Or maybe I will branch out to tie dye.

Are you psyched for Christmas?
